What is Design for Print? [First thoughts]

Anything that involves ink being transferred onto a surface.

My aims for my presentation:

- I want it to include commercial, out there, everyday designs e.g. on packaging, magazines, books etc. that I find interesting.
- But I have also found a few one offs, rare pieces, brands or signs etc along the way that I will show in comparison.
- Some I like, some I don't, but hopefully the presentation will explain what it is, what it's doing and why I chose it as an example of design for print - therefore developing a usable catalogue.
